Breads and Pastries, Chef To You

Everyone’s favorite part of the meal…DESSERT! Croissants, quick breads, cakes, pies; they are all delicious and all something that the Chef can teach you and your friends or family.


Have the Chef come over and teach you and your friends one of these great classes.

Quick Breads and Muffins

In this class you will learn how to make banana rum bread, blueberry muffins, cinnamon pecan swirl bread and orange cranberry sage muffins (great for Thanksgiving). The Chef will also teach how to make homemade butter. This class will take approximately 2 hours and the cost start at $220 for 4 people. 

Croisants 101

The best-known pastry from France, the croissant. In this class you will learn how to properly prepare (laminate) dough for making a variety of croissants; starting with a traditional flaky croissant, then a pain au chocolat, a pain au formage and finally a ham and gruyere croissant. This is a great class to start at 9am in your kitchen with friends. This class will take approximately 3 hours and the cost start at $325 for 4 people. 

Macrons for Beginners

Ah, Macarons. (Not a macaroon, those are the coconut cookies you get at the Asian restaurant) Macarons are the original French sandwich cookie. Filled with buttercream, you cannot eat just one. In this class you will learn the techniques to make a basic vanilla macaron and a French buttercream. You will also learn how to make a strawberry macaron and a chocolate buttercream. This class will take approximately 3 hours and the cost start at $335 for 4 people. (This class does change every season, check back for new combinations) 

French Pastries

The world loves Paris and the pastries that are famous there. In this class you will learn some of them: tarte tatin, eclairs, madeleines and crepes. This class will take approximately 2.5 hours and the cost start at $265 for 4 people. 

Cake Decorating

Birthday, graduation or anniversary; cakes are something every family needs a couple times a year. Learn how to take your cake to the next level with the Chef teaching you all the basics and a few tricks. This class will take approximately 3 hours and the cost start at $360 for 4 people. 

Gourmet Cookie Decorating

Have you ever wanted to make those cookies you see at the store…only that taste better? This is your chance. The Chef will teach you a basic sugar cookie recipe and then cut out seasonally appropriate cookies to bake and cool. While those are baking you will learn to make royal icing and how to properly tint it. Once the cookies are cooled down you will be taught several professional cookie decorating tips so that the next time you have to take cookies to something….you take the best looking cookies on the table. This class will take approximately 2.5 hours and the cost start at $295 for 4 people. 

21 Cookie, Cookie Recipe

How would you like to learn ONE cookie recipe that you can turn into 21 different cookies? You would? Great, this is the class for you. You will learn the base recipe and then the Chef will show you how to make each of the different cookies; you will bake 5 different kinds. This class will take approximately 2 hours and the cost start at $215 for 4 people. 

Art of Pie

Pie, the American classic. In this class you will learn how to make a perfect pie crust. That crust will be used to make the best apple pie you’ve ever had (the Chef uses homemade apple butter in it). You will learn to blind bake a crust to make a banana cream pie in. Lastly, you will learn to make a southern classic; the pecan pie. This class will take approximately 2 hours and the cost start at $230 for 4 people.
